Seldovia Summer Solstice Music Festival
Each year the Seldovia Arts Council kicks off the summer program season with the Seldovia Summer Solstice Music Festival. Known for showcasing topnotch headliners in an intimate venue, each year's festival brings an entire lineup of impressive artists from Alaska, Canada and across the lower 48 for two fun-filled days and nights of music, poetry, dance, and performance as well as a variety of workshops instructed by the visiting performers and artists.
The festival is held close to the summer solstice (around June 21) each year. Established in 2001, it is now widely considered one of the finest small festivals in the State of Alaska.
What will you hear and see at the festival?

Oh, just blues, roots, rock, folk, old time pickin', boogie-woogie, country and modern tunes, ballads, soul, gospel, barbershop, choral ensemble, bluegrass, celtic, jazz—if someone plays it, they've probably played it at the Seldovia Summer Solstice Music Festival.
And that's not to mention the poets, belly and contra and morris dancing, comedians, instrument makers, story tellers...why it's just more fun than you can have in two days anyplace else.
